Out Of Africa

First there was the big bang! Then life began on Earth 3.8 billion yeras ago. But when did humans arrive and where did we come from? If we can find out the answer to these questions, perhaps we can figure out where we are heading in the future...

Children have taken home an IPC learning log with lots of exciting activities for them to do at home, ready to show in class at the end of this topic.

This half term we are focusing on the author, Michael Morpurgo.

Michael Morpurgo was born in St Albans, Hertfordhire on October 5th, 1943. He set up “Farms for City Children” charity with his wife Clare in 1976 after leaving his job as a teacher that he held for ten years. ... Michael Morpurgo has written over 120 books

Please remember that children are expected to read at least three times a week with this being noted in their diaries. At St.James we hope to encourage a love of reading as this helps children's imaginations grow and aids their writing and understanding.
