On the 4th and 5th May 2023, the school received its second Ofsted inspection. We are glad to report that the Inspector found that St James’ CONTINUES to be a GOOD SCHOOL!

On 14th and 15th February 2018 the school received its first Ofsted inspection since becoming an academy in 2015. The result of the previous school’s inspection report was Special Measures. Since becoming an academy the school has made significant and sustained improvement in all areas and is now a GOOD school overall. These are the following results:

Teaching, Learning and Assessment – GOOD
Behaviour – GOOD
Outcomes – GOOD

On Friday 24th June our school had our SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) inspection. As a Church of England school we are inspected every 5 years by the Church of England. The SIAMS inspections focuses on the effect that the Christian ethos of the church school has on the children and young people who attend it. The School has been judged to be an outstanding church school.
